5 August 2021 [Thursday] 2pm - IES College (Australia)

IES College is an independent, secular, co-educational, not for profit, senior high school and authorised IB World School for year 11 and 12 students.

A new program has launched this year at IES College, offering Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to undertake the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in the heart of Spring Hill.

The IB Diploma Programme curriculum holistically develops the whole student – balancing academic subjects with student led personal development through the CAS programme of creativity, activity and service and an individual research project which prepares students for university level study, all part of strengthening the students’ skills as responsible, independent learners.

Locally, IES College has partnered with a range of community groups in Spring Hill and beyond to extend learning beyond the classroom and offer an experiential learning environment. For students, not every day will be spent in the classroom. Many of the activities will take place off campus, outdoors in the local community. Brisbane is their campus! Students will have regular trips to galleries, libraries, museums, industry and technology hubs. Green space, parks and community sporting facilities nearby provide ample opportunities for students to have some downtime from academic pursuits to keep active and healthy. There are so many ways to explore the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme outside of the classroom.
