Their International Programme caters for students who come for both long term and short term stays.
Their academic focus provides a solid foundation for those who are focusing on gaining qualifications for university entrance, and our extensive co-curricular programme ensures plenty of opportunities for those who are seeking a fun cultural exchange!
International students are integrated into Avondale College's mainstream classes, and there are timetabled ESOL classes for those who need more support with the English language. Senior students have the opportunity of following NCEA or Cambridge qualification pathways.
Students who come in the second semester (July onwards) have the opportunity to take part in our two-week Avondale College Activity Programme which runs in November when domestic students are on examination leave. Activities are a mixture of school-based and out-of-school activities, such as whale watching, wind-surfing, rock-climbing and more.
